Sabrina Schmidt Gordon is a Haitian-American documentary filmmaker and impact strategist from NYC. Since her Emmy-winning editing debut, she has distinguished herself as a producer, editor, and director. Sabrina is a Women at Sundance Fellow, recipient of the Dear Producer Award for excellence in independent filmmaking, and a member of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS). Sabrina is the producer of critically-acclaimed films Quest and To the End, both of which premiered at Sundance. Her most recent film, Victim/Suspect, produced with the Center for Investigative Reporting, premiered at Sundance in January and is being released by Netflix on May 23rd. She is the co-director, producer and editor of the Emmy-nominated BaddDDD Sonia Sanchez, and producer and editor of both Hip-Hop: Beyond Beats and Rhymes, a Sundance premiere named on MSNBC’s 10 Most Important Black Films of the decade, and Documented, which had record-breaking viewership on CNN.

 

Daniela I. Quiroz is a Jonathan Oppenheim Editing Award winning editor who primarily works on social justice-focused documentaries with a unique perspective and visual style. She edited Going Varsity in Mariachi which follows a year in the life of a competitive High School Mariachi team in South Texas. Going Varsity premiered at Sundance 2023 as part of the U.S. Documentary Competition. She also edited Latino Vote: Dispatches from the Battleground, which broadcast on PBS ahead of the 2020 November election. Quiroz was one of the editors on The Last Out(Tribeca Special Jury Mention) alongside Carla Gutierrez and Mark Becker, which follows 3 Cuban migrants pursuing their dream to make it to Major League Baseball. Daniela co-edited the feature length film, Rebel Citizen with Skylight Pictures, an in-depth look at Haskell Wexler's use of cinematography as a tool for social justice, which premiered at the 2015 New York Film Festival.

 

Carlos Rojas is a documentary editor based in New York City. He has edited They Took Them Alive (Full Frame 2017), Tre, Maison, Dasan (San Francisco Intl FF 2018), for which he received the Karen Schmeer Award for Excellence in Documentary Editing at IFFBOSTON. He has also edited The Great Hack (Sundance 2019), White Noise (AFI 2020) and the Netflix documentary series We Are: The Brooklyn Saints (2021) and The Territory (Sundance 2022). Carlos was an advisor at the Sundance Art of Editing Lab in 2020 and the Documentary Edit and Story lab in 2022.

 

Poh Si Teng is the Executive Editorial Producer for ABC News Studios. She works closely with independent filmmakers and production companies primarily on unscripted and docuseries for Hulu. She is the producer of St. Louis Superman, which was nominated for an Academy Award, and won a Critics’ Choice Award. Poh was previously one of DOC NYC’s New Leaders and 40 Under 40 Filmmakers to Watch. She was formerly the Director of IDA Funds and the Enterprise Program, the documentary commissioner looking after the Americas for Witness-Al Jazeera English, and a staff journalist for The New York Times, where she was nominated for a national Emmy for Outstanding Interview.
