everything in our house did not seem to fit

Nande Walters - USA - 15min

A poetic documentary about migration’s effect on my family’s relationships to “home” in Jamaica and the US, and my feelings of alienation being a child of the diaspora.

Alejandra Saldivar - Mexico - 5min

Tells the story of a mother’s experience of caring for a child with autism. The film is a mix of personal home videos, stock footage and mixed media animation, emphasizing the role of hands as symbols of care.

A short film that captures the essence of a two-month trip back home, showing personal moments spent with family and the chaos of a week-long wedding celebration in Algeria.

Hello, Whale

Laura Ohio - Canada - 13min

A diaristic short film that follows a sex worker and her encounters with three distinct versions of a whale that transform her definitions of love, death, and survival. She documents her personal and work life, observing the entanglement of her body within the systemic pressures of late capitalism.
